Royal Vintage Shoes – Astoria 1920s Shoes Review

Back in November 2015, I needed to find the perfect outfit for my work Christmas party. The theme was ‘The Great Gatsby’, and I couldn’t wear any old pair of shoes, so I enlisted the help of Royal Vintage Shoes. The pair that I chose was the Astoria 1920s Shoes by American Duchess in black. The outfit looked great, and I have been in love with these shoes ever since.

As you should do with every item of clothing or footwear, if you like them enough, get them in every damn colour! And that is exactly what I did! I got hold of the Astoria shoes in Ivory and absolutely love them.

I personally find it difficult to locate white, cream or ivory shoes that fit me, look nice and suit the era of clothing that I wish to wear them with. The Astoria shoes are perfect for wearing with my light coloured outfits, and the little heel makes them extremely practical for everyday wear.

These shoes don’t need to be broken in, they are ready to go as soon as you take them out of the box. I also love the thick criss-cross straps on the top of the foot, I haven’t seen many styles like this before.

For $160 USD I think these shoes are very reasonable, especially as they can be dressed up for parties, smartened up for the office or simply worn with a pretty dress.

If these were to come out in brown or a tan colour too, I would buy a third pair in a second!

I adore Royal Vintage Shoes, they are always so well made and beautiful.
